Helefonix

Helen Meissner aka Helefonix has demonstrated that anyone can achieve success in writing and performing original indie music, but now she returns with a new musical direction, bringing new and exciting depths to her music. As you move through the Helefonix musical journey, you can feel the progression.

We’re proud to bring you three tracks from her forthcoming album called ‘The Awakening’. Each track has a real meaning behind it, and Helen has carefully detailed this.

We’re providing 3 tracks, including an exclusive link to ‘Firedance’ – a favourite of ours.

Firedance

This track feels almost tribal to me. I imagine the drums being played and everyones letting themselves go, inside the warm, carefree fire lit circle of supportive beings.  So how can we create that abandon in our every day lives?

Let your joy be unconfined. I love that phrase. I really wish that for everyone.

Where do you find your joy?
What about it’s close sibling awe? When did you last look at something and go ‘wow’?

Who Do You Wanna Be

“Who Do You Wanna Be, Now, Eh?”

How often do we ask ourselves ‘who do we want to be?’ It’s something that gets asked a lot of us when we’re younger isn’t it? But with a twist, everyone wants to know WHAT we want to be.

As an adult, after years of conditioning, we might need to go back to that question, and look behind the masks. It’s difficult because for many we have become the persona we felt society demanded of us. So in a way it’s clean slate time, time to ‘play’ in a way. To really fantasise. And it’s not easy. We’re conditioned to conform and fit into society, seamlessly and obediently.

So Lost

“So Lost, carry me home, is it ok? Take me there. Look for me in the light.”
This track is the third on my album The Awakening. The album takes us on a semi spiritual journey into the soul which may resonate. The topic is of huge interest to me, and so I have written some words to accompany each track.
